The MLB Players Association want to know why big time players who are also free agents have failed to secure much deserved major league contracts. Numerous MLB players that have still yet to be signed on include Kenny Lofton, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Jose Mesa. When pressed for information, Michael Weiner who was the MLBPA’s general counsel refused to give any updates. Jeff Borris, Bonds’ agent revealed that no one has approached him to take on Bonds’ talents, and instead Bonds have been spending his time working out and keeping a positive mindset. He hopes to see Bonds in a MLB uniform come mid 2008.
