The Pittsburgh Pirates ended the five game winning streak of one of baseball’s inform team, Chicago Cubs, by defeating them 3-0 at the Wrigley Field last Friday. The outstanding performer for the Pirates was from the newly acquired pitcher Jeff Karstens who had six notable pitches in his first start for the Pirates. All the newly traded players played a big hand in this win against the formidable Cubs team. This win pleased the Pirates manager John Russell and he hopes that there will be many more wins coming their way in the near future.
