The first place Tampa Bay Rays might miss their star player Carl Crawford for the rest of the season with a finger injury. The left fielder was injured during 8-7 victory over the Mariners on Saturday. He had suffered a right middle finger tendon tear. The Rays placed Crawford on the 15 day disabled list and added Rocco Baldelli to the roster. Baldelli hasn’t played a game for the Rays since 2007 because he was suffering from Muscle disorders causing fatigue. Crawford will be flying back to Tampa Bay to see a hand specialist. He is expected to miss at least 5 weeks and might even miss the entire season if surgery is required.
