He sat in the dug out for nearly the entire game with a red pullover on. Then, in the eighth inning he stood up, walked out to the plate, took one good swing, ran about 360 feet, and will be remembered forever as the hero of game 4. With the game tied and the Phillies rallying, Matt Stairs was called in for a pinch hit in which he delivered big. His two run shot proved to be the go-ahead run(s) in the Phillies 7-5 victory over the Dodgers. Only one more victory and the Phillies will have a shot to be the year’s best.
