The AL MVP is all the news today. Second baseman Dustin Pedroia of the Boston Red Sox won the award this afternoon. The voting was, apparently, not even really close and he had to delay his vacation with his wife for a few days just in case this happened. He was last years AL Rookie of the Year and his team won the World Series last year as well.  In other words, according to ESPN, his trophy case must be starting to get a little full. He certainly deserves it but it is getting a little tiring for the rest of us to watch Boston Red Sox players winning everything all the time. It is, however, good to see a player that really deserves the award, rather than just some very popular, but not particularly talented player.
